ASPIRA Julissa Wednesday 127 A Leadership and College Access program empowering the Latino community through advocacy, education, and leadership development. Members explore cultural awareness and engage in service projects that give back to the community.
Black Student Union (BSU) Pamela Tuesday 304 Fosters a sense of community and belonging among Black students while advocating for social justice, cultural awareness, and academic success. Promotes equity and addresses racial discrimination issues.
WESS Entrepreneurship Club Marie Wednesday 212 Explore entrepreneurship, develop leadership skills, and connect with like-minded peers. Engage in activities like analyzing successful companies and playing a fun mock Shark Tank game. New members always welcome!
Community Service Club Karman Thursday 321 Plan and execute service projects both on and off-site to give back to the community. Great opportunity for students who may not have access to service hours outside of school.
Debate Club Jeff Monday 321 Prepare and outline arguments for upcoming debates, build critical thinking and public speaking skills.
Girls Unified Amanda Thursday 304 A space for young women to express themselves freely and engage in discussions about women’s issues. Activities include creative projects, community service, and volunteer work.
GSA (Gender & Sexuality Alliance) Michele Tuesday 332 A supportive space for LGBTQ+ students and allies. Discuss experiences, current events, and plan initiatives to promote inclusivity within the school.
Jewish Student Union (JSU) Cohen Wednesday 316 A space to connect with Jewish heritage, explore culture and identity, and foster community while educating others about Judaism.
Life Essentials Karyn Monday 103 Learn valuable life skills such as financial management, career exploration, and personal development through expert speakers and hands-on activities.
Math Tutoring Club Justin Tuesday 306 Get extra help with math studies from a teacher and peer tutors. Support available for all math courses, from homework help to deeper topic exploration.
Newspaper Club Tom Tuesday 311 Write and edit articles, take photographs, and design the school newspaper. Most work happens outside school, but meetings are for check-ins and collaboration.
POC (People of Color Club) Monique Wednesday 332 A club celebrating diversity and different cultures at WESS. Open to all students interested in cultural representation.
Psychology Club Amanda Tuesday 323 Explore how the mind works, interview therapists, and find volunteering or internship opportunities in psychology-related fields.
Climbing Club Jason Friday Central Rock Gym Meet in the lobby after school and walk to the gym for 1.5 hours of climbing. Students climb independently and with peers while following all safety protocols. Discounted rates available for WESS students.
Student Council Fred Thursday 312 Represents the student body by communicating concerns and proposals to administration. Members are elected to serve one-year terms.
WESS Players (Theater Club) Michele & Tom Mon-Sat Black Box Produce and perform a new play each spring. Students audition for roles, rehearse, and manage set and lighting. Backstage help is still needed!
